Jeri’s NCIS episode 12.11 Check will air on January 6th.Episode synopsis:
The NCIS team must investigate a series of crime scenes that appear to be copy-cats of previous cases. Also, two of Gibbs’ ex-wives, one of which the team has yet to meet, show up at a crime scene to discuss something important with him
I’ve added 3 episode stills from the episode to the gallery 🙂
Seven of Nine is two of three.
Meaning, TVLine has learned that Jeri Ryan will fill the plum NCIS role of Leroy Jethro Gibbs’ never-before-seen second ex-wife, Rebecca, who will be introduced in a January 2015 episode of the long-running CBS drama.
NCIS showrunner Gary Glasberg first revealed to TVLine the plan to meet Gibbs’ missing ex last January, saying, “I can promise you that it is probably going to get touched on in Season 12.” Introducing the character, he effused, promises to be “[storyline] gold.”
To recap Gibbs’ wedded misses: He was first married to Shannon (played byScandal‘s Darby Stanchfield), who, with their daughter, tragically died. Next, he wed Diane (Mad Men‘s Melinda McGraw), who is also Agent
Fornell’s ex. And following his marriage to Rebecca, Gibbs exchanged vows with Stephanie (The West Wing‘s Kathleen York).
The parade of redheads even fueled an in-episode walk-through (right).
Ryan’s TV credits include Star Trek: Voyager, Boston Public, Shark, Leverage, Body of Proof and, most recently, Major Crimes and Helix.
NCIS resumes airing Season 12 Tuesday at 8/7c.
I haven’t seen any official news anywhere yet but IMBD lists Jeri Ryan in credits for the episodes 1.07 Survivor Zero and 1.08 Ultra but this is still early information. epguides.com lists 1.08 episode title as “Bloodlines” and doesn’t list an episode named “Ultra” at all.
EDIT: Jeri confirmed to me on Twitter that she did episodes 7 and 8.
I’ve added the two episode stills that accompany the article below about Jeri’s guest-star spot on Major Crimes episode 2.19 Return To Sender, Part 2. The episode will air on Monday, January 13th.
As if the Major Crimes team hasn’t had a hard enough time making the loathsome Phillip Stroh finally pay for his transgressions, now they’ve got onetime Leverage schemer Jeri Ryan to deal with — and TVLine has a first look at the fierce new courtroom foe.
In the TNT drama’s Season 2 finale, airing Monday, Jan. 13, at 9/8c, Rusty already is facing his greatest challenge yet when he takes the stand to testify against serial rapist/murderer Phillip Stroh. But complicating the case even further, the D.A.’s office must go head-to-head with Ryan’s character Linda Rothman, a tough, powerful attorney who doesn’t let morals stand in her way of winning a case. (Gee, wonder why Stroh picked her.)
The Closer vet Jon Tenney also appears in the episode, as Fritz Howard aka the husband of Stroh’s longtime adversary, former MCD boss lady Brenda Leigh Johnson.
Ryan’s TV credits include Star Trek: Voyager, Boston Public, Shark and Body of Proof. She next can be seen on Syfy’s Helix.
